Sustainability & Responsibility

At Witt, we approach sustainability and responsibility as an ongoing effort - not as promises on paper. It is about making responsible choices in our products, our value chain, and the way we run our business.

Environment & Climate

We continuously work to reduce our environmental impact through more energy-efficient operations and responsible resource management. This includes, among other initiatives:

  • Transition from oil-based heating to heat pumps and district heating
  • Focusing on solar energy and energy-efficient buildings
  • 90% of our vehicles are electric or hybrid
  • Waste sorting into more than 20 fractions
  • Membership of Elretur, Emballageretur, WEEE Europe, and Batteriretur to ensure proper recycling of electronics, packaging, and batteries

Products & Longevity

We work to extend product lifespans and reduce unnecessary waste. For this reason, we set clear requirements for our suppliers, including:

  • Access to spare parts for a minimum of 7 years
  • A focus on repairability rather than replacement

This makes it possible to maintain and repair products so they can be used for longer.

People & Responsibility

Responsibility also means caring for people. We set clear requirements for working conditions and ethics throughout our value chain and do not accept:

  • Forced labour
  • Child labour
  • Discrimination

We work with a Code of Conduct and supplier audits to help ensure proper conditions among our partners.

Transparency & Documentation

Witt participates in the EcoVadis assessment, where our work is evaluated across environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics, and responsible sourcing.

The assessment provides a shared benchmark and helps us prioritise improvements and develop our efforts year after year.

Integrity & Business Ethics

We operate according to clear ethical guidelines and follow European standards for business ethics, data security, and data protection. This includes, among other things:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Data ethics and GDPR compliance
